Obituary for Leota Frances Meitzner
Leota Frances Meitzner, 77, of Hudson, NH, wife of Claude F. Meitzner, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. A resident of Hudson for many years, Mrs. Meitzner was born in Middletown, Connecticut on September 18, 1937, a daughter of the late Willard and Gertrude (Ferguson) Wilmot. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Alvirne High School Class of 1955. Leota was a founding member of the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church. Members of her family include her husband, Claude F. Meitzner whom she married in 1985 and shared the past 29 years together; six children, Alan Migneault of Nashua, Dee Tyler and Theresa Mailhot of New Hampshire, Trudi Durham of Hudson, Kenne Vanderbeck of Wisconsin and Joshua Vanderbeck of Berlin, NH; four step-children; 26 grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Smith of Hudson and Margaret Gibbons of Nashua; two brothers, Donald Wilmot of South Dakota and Jerry Wilmot of Florida; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held in the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church, 517 Boston Post Road in Merrimack, Saturday, December 27th at 11 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend. Obituary for Frank A. Kashulines Jr.
Frank A. Kashulines Jr., 71, of Pepperell, MA, a native and former Nashua resident, died Monday evening, December 22, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a period of declining health. A resident of the Pepperell area for the past 16 years, Frank was born in Nashua on October 29, 1943, son of the late Frank A. and Ruth E. (Read) Kashulines. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1960. Mr. Kashulines enlisted in the Navy in April of 1963 and served three tours with the Mobile Construction Battalion during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in October 1970 and was the recipient of a National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Frank had been employed as a long haul truck driver for thirty three years. He later owned Kashulines Trucking for a number of years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking, refinishing furniture and watching football. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife, Leslie E. (Benner) Kashulines who died February 3, 2004. Members of his family include a son, George Martin Kashulines of Narragansett, RI; a sister and brother-in-law, Sally A. and Leonard Cipolla of Chesterfield, VA; a niece, Paula Marie Smiley and her husband Stephen Kendall Smiley; a nephew Christopher Cipolla; a grandnephew, Stephen Kyle Smiley; a grandniece, Rebecca Ann Smiley; and several cousins. SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service will take place at Westview Cemetery, Burnham Road in Hudson, Saturday, December 27th at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to attend. Obituary for Stella C. O’Dell
Stella C. O’Dell, 88, of Manchester and formerly of Hudson and Londonderry, died early Saturday morning, December 6, 2014 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a long illness. Stella was the widow of Charles J. O’Dell. Born in Farmington, NH on January 21, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Andrew D. and Constance I. (Martin) Johnson. During her youth, Mrs. O’Dell resided in Hudson and was educated local schools. Stella and her husband Charles were married on October 21, 1944 in Nashua. They resided in Ticonderoga and Plattsburg, New York for many years, then in Londonderry, NH before moving to Manchester. She was affiliated with the Londonderry congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In her leisure time, Stella enjoyed shopping and dining out. She was predeceased by her husband Charles who died June 26, 2003; and a brother, Andrew D. Johnson Jr. Members of her family include two sons, Charles J. O’Dell and his wife Millie of Shelbyville, TN and Arnold P. O’Dell and his wife Melody of Manchester; four daughters, Carol Morrill and Linda Moody both of Laconia, Brenda Milonas of Manchester and Joyce Martell of Raymond; fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard P. Johnson and his wife Marie of Londonderry and William Johnson and his wife Maureen of Manchester; three sisters, Elizabeth E. Moreau of Nashua, Gloria Cook and her husband Robert, and Lucille Boucher all of Colebrook, NH; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Florence C. (Bell) O’Leary, 88, formerly of Nashua, NH and Chelmsford, MA, died Friday afternoon, December 5, 2014 at the Pheasant Wood Center in Peterborough, NH where she has resided for the past year. Florence was the widow of Daniel J. O’Leary who died December 21, 2010. A daughter of the late George E. and Sarah (Weirs) Bell, she was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on November 24, 1926. During her youth, Mrs. O’Leary resided in Saugus and Chelsea, MA. Florence and her husband Dan were married on October 6, 1946 and made their home in Malden for several years. In 1962 the couple moved to Chelmsford, MA where they made their home on Brick Kiln Road and later relocated to Glastonbury Drive in Nashua in 1984. A devoted wife and mother, Florence was very supportive of her children. She will be remembered as a strong and courageous person who had a wonderful positive outlook on life and for her acceptance of others. Florence will also be fondly remembered for her extraordinary sense of humor. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Kevin M. O’Leary of Chelmsford, MA; two brothers, George and Edward Bell; and three sisters, Mary Brostrom, Virginia Bell and Doris Smith. Members of her family include two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel J. and Marilyn O’Leary of Yarmouthport, MA and Robert G. and Joanne O’Leary of Mont Vernon, NH; seven grandchildren, Daniel O’Leary and David O’Leary of Billerica, MA, Brian O’Leary of Pineville, MO, Erin (O’Leary) Wilborn of Milford, NH, Megan O’Leary of Manchester, NH, Emily Skelton of Bedford, NH and Sarah Claire of Wilton, NH; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Adam C. Gureckis Sr., 90, of Nashua, a former Nashua Alderman and NH State Representative, died Friday afternoon, December 26, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital after a period of declining health. A lifelong Nashua resident, he was born on February 23, 1924, a son of the late John and Eva Gureckis. Adam was the husband of the late Evelyn M. (Shanahan) Gureckis who died in 2007.
